Operations Executive

We are lucky enough to be an intentionally remote business, working from home full time but getting together for team meetings and any excuse for a social (as soon as we’re allowed).

Ideally our new superstar would be local-ish to the Ashford (Kent) area with a space at home suitable for focus and productivity.

Salary – We are looking to offer £20,000 – £22,000 for this role (doe) – with 25 days holiday, pension and WFH reimbursement

Hours – Our standard hours are 08:30-17:30, with an early finish on a Friday.

When we need you – we are ideally looking for someone to start with us asap but will obviously work with the right person to take notice periods into consideration.

Our new someone needs to ensure the smooth and efficient running of The Recruitment Network programme by supporting the Operations team and enabling us to achieve our strategic vision for 2021.

So, what will you be doing?

Speaker Management

  • Researching potential speakers and experts for our range of training, online sessions and ad-hoc virtual events
  • Building relationships between speakers/experts and TRN
  • Being the key point of contact for speakers who are participating in our events (collating presentations, sending meeting details etc.)

Networks within the Network (The 4 sub-groups of members that we have within the Network: Talent, Finance, Marketing, Operations)

  • Managing the online forums for each group
  • Sharing relevant and valuable content to each group
  • Coordinating and attending the quarterly online roundtable sessions for each group (together with all the necessary follow up)
  • Using your creative to grow these networks and make them as valuable as possible for the members

CEO Peer Groups (Online meetings between smaller groups of our membership)

  • Owning the coordination and logistics (14 sessions, every 8 weeks needs good organisation!)
  • Operational support before, during and after the sessions (preparing PowerPoint slides, sending reminders, running polls, note capturing, follow up etc.)
  • Updating the CRM on attendance and significant actions
  • Liaising with Emma (our content queen) on suitable value adds in line with the discussion points raised

Huddle and Retreat Support (our face-to-face events that will be returning post-Covid)

  • Coordinating and running pre-Huddle data collection
  • Assisting in managing delegate lists, completing client calls and sending out event information
  • Collating and uploading feedback from the Huddle
  • Writing up event output and attendee action logs on their private online portal
  • Sometimes attendance of these events may be required but first and foremost you will be responsible for the office when the team is out delivering

If you’re successful, you’ll soon realise that a job in the Ops Team is varied and fast paced. You will be involved many things and will be expected to multi-task with ease and finesse!

As the business is very team led, there could be some of the following:

  • Support of the Operations and Member Support Team
  • Uploading of content and events to TRN World (our online membership platform)
  • Report and data generation
  • Document formatting/PowerPoint creation
  • Working to support the 2 (reasonably!) self-sufficient Directors as required
  • CRM and diary management
  • Constantly identifying value add opportunities that we can action to wow our network

And the list doesn’t end there!

As part of your induction you will learn more about the business, our products and how we work. We will need you to have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook (no excuses) but knowledge of the recruitment industry isn’t essential, and the use of our online systems can be taught.

The main things we need you to be great at are;

  • Personal organisation and time management – otherwise you won’t survive very long!
  • Written and verbal communications
  • Interpersonal skills (face to face and on the telephone)
  • Problem solving
  • Attention to detail is a huge one for us

Our new online linchpin needs to ensure the smooth and efficient running of The Recruitment Network from a data, insights and systems perspective to enable us to achieve our strategic vision for 2021.

So, what will you be doing?

Systems and CRM Management

  • Managing the tech stack for The Recruitment Network, ensuring communication across all systems
  • Being our ActiveCampaign (CRM) champion – prior knowledge of this system isn’t essential, but you need to ‘get’ technology and be a fast learner!
  • Creating and managing marketing workflow automations (taking the workflows from the sales and marketing team and building these in ActiveCampaign)
  • Creating and managing workflow automations for existing customers (taking the input from the Member Support Team and building these in ActiveCampaign)
  • Online event management – build and logistics (pulling together aspects from across the team to build out fantastic online events, big and small)

Insights and Data Management

  • Reporting across all functions
  • Managing and collating data and insights from all the opportunities across the business including numerical date, thematic insights and feedback
  • Surveys run throughout member companies
  • Constantly looking for new ways to gather and use data and insights to improve our offering

This role will be central to the business and will require you to liaise and work closely with other members of the team (who are fab!) You will essentially pull lots of pieces together to streamline the business and take our offering to new heights in 2021 and beyond.
