Here at TRN we work closely with our partners, all of whom are experts in their field, to offer the best tips, knowledge and advice for our members. We want to extend some of this out to our readers too, so here are some of the insightful blogs, articles and news from them over the past few weeks.

BlueSky PR

We would just like to start by announcing some exciting news. BlueSky PR are upgrading from Silver to Gold Partners with us at The Recruitment Network.

Piggybacking is a great way to give your content and your business a boost off the back of topical events, such as International Women’s Day or National Apprenticeship Week. BlueSky are a company that know the value of this and they have written a blog all about the magic of piggybacking and how you can really get the most out of this fantastic tactic.

One of the easiest places to get exposure when you are piggybacking is Twitter. BlueSky take us through 5 simple tactics that you can use to increase your Twitter engagement, so that you can really make the most of your exposure on this platform. With the constant changes of algorithms on social media platforms it is vital to keep on top of them for maximum effect and exposure.

Brookson One

This week Brookson have written a blog article on the Spring Statement. With a consultation on changes to IR35 announced in the Autumn Statement back in November 2017, it was expected that this would have been talked about. While it wasn’t referenced in the actual announcement, it was referred to in the information that was published after, so the consultation on changes to IR35 will be in the coming months.

Contractors can rack up a huge number of miles on the roads, so a fuel-efficient car is a must. Brookson have looked into some of the best and most fuel efficient cars for contractors in on of their latest articles. Have you got any that you would add to this list?

Brookson also host regular webinars on a range of subjects that are really handy and informative for contractors. From the benefits of contracting and setting up a limited company to tips on securing your next contract and understanding your accountancy options. Have a look at their list of webinars to get yourself or some of your contractors booked on.

Access Group

Studies have found that company culture has a significant impact on absence rates, so the happier your employees are at work, and more aligned they feel to your company culture, the less likely they are to take time off. With that in mind, Access have given 3 areas which are a great place to start to review your business and company culture, hopefully reducing absenteeism.

It is important that have happy employees within your recruitment business, but you also need happy clients and candidates too. Last week Access posted a blog article on the relationship between consultant and candidate and how you can make your candidates happy, which will hopefully result in getting them the job they’re after, and your client the perfect candidate for their role.

Battling to keep up with all the changes in legislation and regulations whilst growing your recruitment business can be challenging, but it is something that we all must do. One of those changes has been to pensions, which are now a legal obligation to provide for your employees, so Access have given some pointers on managing pensions in your recruitment agency in one of their latest blog articles.

Bullhorn

To develop and grow your recruitment agency you need to innovate. Bullhorn recently posted a blog on 4 ways recruiters can innovate in 2018, which covers some excellent areas that you may not have thought of before that may give you an edge over another recruitment agency.

Something that every recruitment agency should definitely think about is creating content. The content that you create though, needs to be relevant and add value to your audience. Bullhorn have written a blog on how to create great content for your candidates, going through 5 tips they have given for remarkable online content.

We know as busy business leaders you are all good at multitasking, but there are some negative effects that can be associated with this juggling act. One of Bullhorn’s recent blogs runs through some ways that you can combat the negative effects of multitasking and get the most out of your time.

6CATS International

Contractors are willing and eager to operate across borders will have a huge range of opportunities at their hands, but it isn’t as simple as accepting a job and relocating. 6 CATS have recently posted a useful blog on how to check that your solution is compliant for contractors. It’s always best to check before diving into something that is not compliant.

Many recruiters and recruitment business leaders may have Brexit as high up on their priority list for the immediate future, but 6CATS have said in their recent blog that this fixation is not useful, until we have a clearer indication of what the final deal will be. 6CATS are saying that we should be more concerned with compliance, rather than the UK’s departure from the EU. Find out more about why compliance is the future in their blog article.
