Overview
TRN are a scaling business who have built a one-of-a-kind platform and community designed for the recruitment industry – their solution will transform the recruitment sector internationally in the next few years. They’re well established, profitable, and have plans for significant growth. As they build their sales team, they’re looking to hire a Business Development Manager who will engage, attract, and sign-up recruitment businesses to their platform.
What You’ll Get
As a Business Development Manager, you can expect a basic salary up to £40k with an additional £30-40k on top which is completely uncapped. In addition to this you will receive fantastic benefits, with a work-from-anywhere model! You will be expected to spend on average 1-3 days per month in their Southeast office, where there is a culture of innovation, purpose, and entrepreneurial spirit.
What You’ll Do
As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, selling into the recruitment industry. Most of your leads will be generated for you, with your key responsibility being nurturing and converting these to join platform. This will be both in the UK and internationally!
What You’ll Need
The right Business Development Manager will have 2+ years in B2B Sales, and will thrive in a high-activity sales environment. You will have great sales and relationship-building skills, be driven and ambitious, and have a love for new business. Knowledge of the recruitment space is beneficial, but not essential – it is much more about the person than the experience!
Responsibilities and Duties
- Securing new business (members)
- Managing roundtables – both pre session and post session
- Zoom meetings to new clients/discussing their business and advising on most relevant membership tier for their needs
- Walk-throughs on TRNWorld
- Engaging cold leads via LinkedIn
- Warm/Cold calls to each funnel
- Managing incoming leads – qualifying and adding to automations – calling once exited automation
- Engaging Dormant Leads
- Planning our Roundtable Topics
- Forecasting weekly and monthly sales numbers
- Chasing of people who have gone quiet/disengaged (phone based)
- Setting up refences from existing TRN members to potential members
- Collaborate with marketing to drive inbound business
Competencies
- An understanding of recruitment and potential pain points
- Knowledge of Sales Methodologies, including Meddic and Medpicc would be beneficial.
- Experience of working in a target driven role (B2B)

Where?
We are lucky enough to be an intentionally remote business, working from home full time but getting together for team meetings and any excuse for
a social. We also have TRN HQ situated at Evegate, just outside Ashford which we can use whenever we like! Although we are remote, our new recruit must to be local-ish to the Ashford area with a space at home suitable for focus and productivity.
How much?
We are looking to offer £22,000 – £24,000 for this role (doe) – with 25 days holiday, pension and WFH reimbursement
What are the hours?
You will be required to work 7.5 hours per day (7 on a Friday) between
07:30 and 19:30 (not including any breaks you take). If the needs of the business are met, you completely own your day.
When?
We are ideally looking for someone to start with us asap but will obviously work with the right person to take notice periods into consideration.
So, what will you be doing? The support of our clients and their teams is paramount to the success of TRN. You will be responsible for a large portfolio of existing TRN Members (Recruitment Business Owners), so we are looking for someone to;
Help members of the TRN Club make the most of their membership experience by keeping in touch with them regularly
Onboard new members and make them feel welcome from moment one
Proactively support the members by directing them to tools, support, learning and events
Identify gaps and opportunities and ensure members are held
accountable to the actions which will help their business, feel supported and valued
Respond to queries which come in via whichever channel is the most appropriate
Identify opportunities to wow members and influence member loyalty
Review member data and identify gaps and priorities for focus
Generate ideas which will improve the content and product
If you’re successful, you’ll soon realise that a job in the Ops Team is varied and fast paced. You will be involved many things and will be
expected to multi-task with ease and finesse!
As the business is very team led, there could be some of the following:
Uploading daily/weekly content and events to TRN World (our online platform)
Supporting with online event management and associated administration
Managing Zoom recording
Document formatting/PowerPoint creation
CRM and diary management
As part of your induction, you will learn more about the business, our products and how we work.
We will need you to have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. Knowledge of the recruitment industry is useful but not essential, and the
use of our online systems can be taught (you just need to be hungry to learn and have a decent brain). We will give you the support you need.
The role of Member Support Executive relies heavily on particular personality traits and skills in order to flourish.
The main things we need you to be damned good at are;
