4 Office Stereotypes at Christmas

Door 16 of our #TRN Advent Calendar and we’re taking a look at 4 Stereotypes that you’re likely to see around the office this Christmas.

The Christmas Crazy!

  • ‘All I want for Christmas’ has been playing since 1st October
  • Leaves a trail of glitter wherever they have been
  • 26 different Christmas jumpers and has been wearing them since mid-November
  • Cannot see their desk for tinsel
  • First to volunteer to put the office decorations up, wants to go crazy, but kept in check by Christmas Mum
  • Butts into any and every conversation that they think Christmas has been mentioned ‘Did you say Christmas?!’
  • Once one comes out, more will emerge

Scrooge

  • Dresses mostly in black
  • Hates Christmas songs
  • Tries to avoid the ‘Christmas Crazy’ at all costs
  • Works right through Christmas
  • Comes to the Christmas party for the booze, not the music
  • Severely ‘allergic’ to anything jolly

Christmas Mum

  • The organiser of secret Santa
  • Bakes and feeds mince pies to everyone
  • Advent calendars bought as soon as they arrived in the shops
  • Christmas cards to everyone
  • Presents for everyone
  • Likes Christmas socks- more subtle than a jumper but just as important

‘On the Fence’ Christmas

  • Will join in with festivities, if forced
  • Gets regrettably drunk at the Christmas party
  • Enjoys receiving their secret Santa but gives chocolates/booze for theirs
  • Hums along to Christmas songs but denies knowledge of the words
  • Does enjoy the odd mince pie
  • Classes their red jumper as a ‘Christmas jumper’
