The Recruitment Rowathon – Take on the challenge!

Take the challenge! A sponsored 8 hour row in your office, race athletes, celebrities and offices! Raising for OPERA in partnership with Atlantic Avengers. Everyone involved will be burning some serious calories ???? competing for brag-worthy kudos ???? all while helping an amazing cause ????One of the most important parts of the journey we all make together here at The Recruitment Network is the ability to give back, give chances and make the world a better place in our small way. So, in partnership with the Atlantic Avengers and raising funds for The OPERA Global Youth Foundation we’re bringing together the recruitment industry in a epic rowathon, where we’ll be competing against each other, elite athletes, the Atlantic Avengers and a few suprise guests. Each team will receive a concept 2 rowing machine and on Friday 2nd March they’ll have 8 hours to row as far as they can, and the teams with the best scores will win some unbelievable prizes.

This is all in anticipation to the Atlantic Avengers amazing journey to row the Atlantic Ocean which Follows Cristopher Columbus’ second Voyage, from Cadiz to Antigua, everyone involved will be burning some serious calories ???? competing for brag-worthy kudos ???? all while helping an amazing cause ????

Our goal is to get up to 50 offices in the recruitment space to sign on, each raising a minimum of £3000, we’ll send each organisation a concept 2 rowing machine and give them plenty of exposure over all our social channels so they can raise the money. If we had that many teams all raising the minimum we could raise a massive £150,000, that’s a boat-load of cash for a well deserved charity doing amazing things for young people trying to get into work.

Over the coming weeks we’ll be giving away more information on the prizes we’ll be giving away to the teams who can row the furthest, sufficed to say they’re pretty awesome and will get the competitive spirit of the offices firing on all cylinders. Roll on the #Rowathon!!

So how does it work?

Visit our #Rowathon landing page here – to see the teams who’re signed up, prizes to be won, info about the charities and more..

What a way to start the year for your office! Fired up consultants, raising money for a great cause and potentially winning some impressive prizes! Get involved a make a difference today.

How we’ll all be feeling at the end of the 8 hour rowing madness!

OPERA’s VISION To inspire recruiters to build the largest global youth employment foundation, dedicated to empowering young people to find, gain and stay in work.

OPERA’s MISSION To give young people and their employers the best possible chance of success and in doing so, empower young people to transform their lives.

Who are The Atlantic Avengers

2 ‘ordinary men’ John Wilson and Ricky Reina are undertaking one of the worlds toughest challenges; rowing the Atlantic ocean. It’s no surprise then that more people have been into space, or climbed Everest than have rowed the Atlantic. It takes a certain kind of person to keep going when faced with blisters, salt rash, sharks and sleep deprivation.

These two are undertaking the Journey to Raise £500,000 for 3 Charities. The OPERA Global Youth Foundation, Shepway Sports Trust and Clic Sargent Young Lives vs Cancer. Track their journey here:
