The Recruitment Network Update April 2018

18 months on from the start of TRN we get an update from our Chairman, James, on what has been going on over the last few months and about some exciting things for the future. Just another quick update from The Recruitment Network HQ, as there has been so much going on since we launched the network 18 months ago – not only for us, but also for the industry as whole – what a fascinating time to be in recruitment!

As we finish off preparations for our next full members’ meeting, where we have over 130 recruitment leaders joining us for the day at one of London’s finest venues on the banks of the Thames, we are already putting in plans for a complete 2 day takeover of a country estate in July to host our next members’ retreat, where will be joined by some very special guests who will be challenging, educating and (in some instances) entertaining our members to enable us deliver what will be our best retreat yet.

Across the network, we have seen a continual increase in cross member engagement and collaboration, in particular on the hugely active private online community groups and this has now evolved into creating a number of “networks with the network” where we have similar groups running for our members’ marketing managers, talent managers, finance managers and so on…

The private online Members’ portal has become an extraordinary library of content, tools, advice and support and the TRN index, our industry statistical benchmarking toolkit, has enabled members to see how they stack up against their peers and the rest of the industry across a number of key growth metrics.

The Recruitment Network advisory team, which is attracting some of the industry’s most successful thought leaders and recruitment entrepreneurs, continues to expand, and has delivered over 800 hours’ worth of free consultancy to our members.

The free training programmes have also evolved with more than 11,000 free training hours delivered to our members’ employees, covering everything from strategic sales, leadership, customer experience, to selling retainers, running contract desks and account penetration, from not only our training centre here in the South East, but also across a wide number of locations in the UK and overseas.

In particular, the Recruitment Trailblazer programme has evolved to be one of the most powerful developmental initiatives available for recruitment team leaders and billing managers and continues to grow and expand every month.

This, coupled with our packed calendar of partner masterclasses and webinars, has ensured that not only our members, but also all their employees, have access to everything they need to improve performance and drive profitability.

In recent months we have launched Recruitment Envestors, helping entrepreneurial recruitment companies raise equity finance through our network of private investors and venture capital funds, our Women in Recruitment initiative, supported by 20 founding members has kicked off with a mentorship programme and a soon to launch diversity stamp, and we have even organized the first ever Recruitment Rowathon, raising over £10k for our dedicated charity partners.

The next few months here at HQ focus on increasing the support and value our members receive, whilst increasing both the size and scope of the network itself.

As the membership continues to grow, we have more frequent and regionalized events planned, both across the UK and overseas, and have a number of new and very exciting partnerships to announce in the coming months to support this.

TRN World

Our new tech platform, TRN World, which we are very excited about, will literally transform how recruitment leaders around the world collaborate, our new, end to end online Learning Management System will enable recruitment leaders to deliver unlimited training support to their employees on demand and for free, and our expanding team here at TRN HQ will ensure we can continue to deliver an exceptional level of customer experience to our members.

The feedback we receive from our members is something we are very proud of, as are some of the incredible success stories our members have recorded this year. I think this is why the network continues to grow at such an unprecedented rate.

We continue to listen to our members and keep a very close eye on market trends and best practice to ensure that what we deliver is applicable, on point and aligned to what recruitment leaders need to maintain a competitive edge and outperform the market.

Every month we host taster sessions, to give recruitment leaders a first-hand experience of The Recruitment Network – if you would to reserve a place on one of these, then please visit our website therecruitmentnetwork.com or speak to one of our team here at HQ on 0844 272 8990.

We look forward to welcoming you.
